Show Monitor

The first tab is a console-style dashboard for anyone who needs to know exactly where the show is.

  • Current LX cue, big, with its label sliding in underneath and a time since cue counter ("+0:14").
  • Live timecode, extrapolated locally from the Mac's clock anchor so it runs smooth and delay-free. Shown only while timecode is live.
  • Show state — preshow curtain countdown, act and interval timers (interval counts down to the planned duration and goes negative in red when over), and a subtle act progress bar estimated from cue positions.
  • Current media cue (QLab or connected media server).
  • Session badge — "Show 4B" while recording; between takes it shows the next number ("Show 5") so everyone knows what's coming.
  • On Stage Display — a read-only banner mirroring whatever operator message is currently on the Stage Display, in its colour.
  • Chat toasts — the newest chat message slides in under the header for a few seconds, so the desk view never misses the conversation.
  • Presence — who else is on the session.
  • Cue history — every cue fired this session with time of day and how long each ran; tap + on a past cue to attach a note back-dated to that moment.
  • Camera monitor — live programme feed (iPad on the local network only).
  • Record control — start/stop the Mac's recording from the phone. On cloud shows this is owner-only.
  • Run-time deltas — act/interval/total times against previous runs, shown at show end.

iPad

On iPad the app switches to a director's-desk layout — Show Monitor, note feed and (on LAN) the camera monitor side by side.
