Licence Tiers

ShowRevue has four tiers: Viewer (free), Base, Professional and Max. Each one includes everything in the tier below it. The tier your Mac is running on shows on the badge in Account & Licence (Welcome window) and in Preferences → Account.

Viewer (free)​

No licence needed.

  • Open and play back any recording, with its cues, notes, cuepoints and timecode sections.
  • Follow a live ShowRevue show (cues and timecode, on your network or through the cloud) with Join a Show or Follow Show.
  • Join a cloud show as a member.

Viewer doesn't record. To try recording, a Mac that has never had one can start a free 14-day Professional trial from Account & Licence. It's one trial per Mac and needs no card.

Base​

Capture and review your own show, on your own Mac.

  • Recording, with no length or daily limit.
  • Desk cue input: cues from a grandMA3 or ETC Eos over OSC, and from a grandMA2 over MIDI Show Control.
  • External timecode in from LTC on an audio input.
  • LTC out on audio, from the LTC row in the output mixer.
  • Cuepoints and sections: drop and move cuepoints, name timecode sections, import sections from CSV.
  • Notes panel in the app. (Live Notes on the venue network needs Professional.)
  • Audio DSP on the input tracks (notch, compressor, noise gate).
  • Cue snapshots, a still at every lighting cue.
  • Custom overlay layouts.
  • Session reports (the session summary PDF and the notes PDF).

Base recordings carry a ShowRevue watermark in the top-right corner of the picture.

Professional​

Drive the rig.

  • Cue fire-back to the console (grandMA3, ETC Eos).
  • Fire QLab and media servers (Pixera, disguise, Millumin) from a recording.
  • Live Notes on the venue network, so phones, tablets and browsers on your network can take notes. The notes panel in the app stays at Base.
  • Send OSC on events: messages to a console or media server when playback or recording changes.
  • Multi-QLab: link up to four QLab computers (see QLab).
  • Follow on playback, which fires every recorded cue as the playhead passes it.
  • Network timecode in and out: sACN, Art-Net and MTC (see timecode output).
  • OSC remote control (record, stop, cue navigation and the rest) and the Companion module.
  • NDI output.
  • Time Warp (scrub back through a take while it's still recording).
  • DMX record trigger over sACN or Art-Net.
  • No watermark on recordings.
  • Enable Online Training (Playback menu), which unlocks a recording for the web trainer.

Max​

Run the operation: unattended, broadcast and team.

  • Scheduled recording.
  • Stage Display, including operator messaging.
  • RTMP and SRT streaming.
  • Show calling: the cuepoint caller that speaks "Standby for name" and "name, go" as audio.
  • Cloud shows: host a show online so people off-site can take notes, follow along and be managed as a team. Hosting needs a Max licence, on your Mac and on the server. Joining a cloud show as a member never needs a licence.

Other licence types​

Education licences (Student, Classroom, Department and Institution), the 6-week Production Pass, the Weekly Pass and Professional Perpetual all run at Professional. The Max Pass runs at Max for six weeks. Base Perpetual runs at Base.

A licence with no tier on it counts as Base. The licence's name is never used to work out its tier.

Signing in​

Sign in with your ShowRevue account in Account & Licence (or Preferences → Account) and your licence follows you to any Mac you sign in on. If you were sent a licence key instead, paste it in and click Validate. Billing is managed at showrevue.com/account. For seats or larger rollouts, contact support@showrevue.com.
